Scripted was created to allow developers to keep all development tasks inside the browser.

Instead of dabbling around with various code editing software, Scripted allows a developer to point to a file via the Node.js console, open a Node.js server and popup a browser tab where the developer can start editing the file's source right away.

The editor is focused mainly on JavaScript, CSS and HTML editing primarily, languages for which syntax highlighting is included by default.

Inside the browser window, various Scripted settings and features are supported, like screen splitting, keyboard shortcuts, errors, warnings, editor skins and file tree navigation.

Scripted is based on Eclipse's original Orion JS library for editing source code, now known as the Orion client component.

Don't worry if you never used Scripted before, installation instructions are provided and are very easy to follow through.
